First launch
macOS — “MakeMeDemo can’t be opened”
The app isn’t notarised by Apple yet, so macOS blocks the first launch. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom, and click Open Anyway.
That button only appears after you’ve tried to open the installer, and it disappears about an hour later. If it’s not there, double-click the installer again and go straight back to Settings.
Windows — SmartScreen warning
Click More info → Run anyway. SmartScreen warns about any installer it hasn’t seen many times before; the warning fades as more people install it.

Each build’s SHA-256 is listed above. On macOS run shasum -a 256 <file>, on Windows certutil -hashfile <file> SHA256.
